FSA Farm Information: As per the Grant County Farm Service Agency, the farm consists of an FSA total acreage of 157.97. From this maps indicate 119.07 acres of native grassland, and a cropland acreage of 37.95, with a base acreage of 34 acres, and a 29 BU direct yield.
Land Information: The land consists of approx. 119 acres of little bluestem native grassland, and approx. 37 acres of cropland. The farm has five wire perimeter fencing around the grassland. The farm consists of lush grassland, a working windmill, as well as a pond. This farm offers a great deal for the producer or recreational enthusiast; the best of both worlds, thick grass, access to water, fencing, and a small acreage of cropland, all on a blactop road. Soil Information: The land consists of 38.3% of Ironmound-Nash complex, 3 to 12 percent slopes, 33.4% of Devol fine sandy loam, 1 to 3 percent slopes, 15% of Ironmound loam, 1 to 3 percent slopes, 9.0% of Devol fine sandy loam, 3 to 5 percent slopes, and the balance in Grant silt loam, 1 to 3 percent slopes.
